SALEEN 302 MUSTANGS COMING SOON!!

SALEEN 302 WHITE LABEL

As the introductory model to the Saleen S302 model lineup, the 302 White Label touts an incredible list of features in a single package. Keeping with the formula that Saleen uses to produce its instantly recognizable vehicles, the White Label model adds to the value element through increased horsepower, handling and styling. Utilizing a 302 cubic inch V8 engine this pony produces 450HP through a naturally aspirated configuration that keeps power where it should be, on demand.

In addition to increased horsepower, each Saleen White label model also receives additional upgrades including Aerodynamics and Aesthetics, braking, and Saleen specific suspension components that all work together balancing out the 'Speed, Science and Style' trifecta that is embedded in each Saleen vehicle produced. As part of the Saleen manufacturing process, each vehicle is cataloged and serialized with its own unique Saleen VIN, a process that lends itself to the collectability and high resale values that Saleen vehicles have been known for over the past 30 years. Handling on the 302 White Label model is maintained by the Saleen S4 bushings, links and specific-rate suspension springs with ground control being managed by the Saleen styled 20" wheels and Z rated tires. Aerodynamics and Aesthetics on the 302 White Label include a rear valance redesign which incorporates a S302 specific package consisting of a high downforce rear spoiler atop a Saleen decklid insert. Additional Saleen specific aesthetics include model specific interior and exterior badging, reinforcing the amazing lineage that makes up this Saleen vehicle.

 SALEEN 302 YELLOW LABEL

Since 1983 Saleen has been putting 'Power In The Hands Of a Few.' The S302 Yellow Label puts power in your hands without all the extra styling of the Black Label model. Keeping with the formula that Saleen uses to produce its instantly recognizable vehicles, the Yellow Label model adds to the value element through increased horsepower over the introductory White Label model. Utilizing a 302 cubic inch V8 engine this pony produces a Saleen Supercharged 640HP giving this model incredible power increase over our introductory S302 White Label model.

In addition to increased horsepower, each Saleen Yellow label model also receives additional upgrades including Aerodynamics and Aesthetics, braking, and Saleen specific suspension components that all work together balancing out the 'Speed, Science and Style' trifecta that is embedded in each Saleen vehicle produced. As part of the Saleen manufacturing process, each vehicle is cataloged and serialized with its own unique Saleen VIN, a process that lends itself to the collectability and high resale values that Saleen vehicles have been known for over the past 30 years. Additional Saleen specific aesthetics include model specific interior and exterior badging, reinforcing the amazing lineage that makes up this Saleen vehicle.

The 2015 Roush Mustangs arriving soon!!

ROUSH STAGE 2
"Ford has once again provided an excellent platform for us to develop
our own vision upon," says Jack Roush.

5.0L V8 power has long been the cornerstone of the Mustang legacy. Ford has once again evolved the platform with its 2015 GT Mustang, bringing power up to 435hp / 400lb-ft from the 2014 model's 420hp / 390lb-ft. The 2015 ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang takes this system and adds an abundance of performance enhancements, including an all-new racing inspired front fascia and rear wing, high flow upper and lower front grilles, "ROUSH" badging and graphics, a newly-design ROUSH wheel with ultra high performance Cooper RS3 tires, and more.

The 2015 ROUSH Stage 2 Mustang also features the innovative ROUSH Activ8™ exhaust system (optional) with quad tips. The system allows for the driver to easily change the sound level of the exhaust. Other optional components include a 6-speed shifter ball, hood scoop, side graphics, hood graphics, reverse sensing system, quarter window scoops to name a few.

ROUSH STAGE 1
"We're excited to incorporate the new Ford I-4 EcoBoost platform into our line-up with the 2015 ROUSH Stage 1 Mustang," says Jack Roush.

With the introduction of the 4-cylinder EcoBoost Mustang, ROUSH has taken the opportunity to provide an even more diverse selection of models. The 2.3L turbo-charged engine provides both more power and fuel efficiency than the already impressive Ford 6-cylinder Mustang. The base 2015 I-4 EcoBoost Mustang is rated at an whopping 21mpg city / 32mpg hwy and 310hp / 320lb-ft.

ROUSH has taken this system and added its unique vision for the vehicle, with 17 core component upgrades, including an aggressive front fascia, front grilles, a front chin splitter, rear decklid spoiler, the 2015 ROUSH Mustang Exhaust System with Quad Tips, and more. There is also a wide variety of optional components, including side rocker graphics, 20-inch wheels with ultra high performance tires, hood graphics, instrument gauge cluster, body side scoops, and the innovative Activ8™ Performance Exhaust Featuring Apptiv™ Technology to name a few.

All-New 2015 Ford Mustang Begins Production at Flat Rock Assembly Plant; Marks Global Availability of Iconic Pony Car

  • 2015 Mustang starts production at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant; car to be exported globally for the first time in its 50-year history.
  • New Mustang goes on sale this fall in the United States, and in more than 120 countries next year.
  • Mustang sets new performance and dynamics benchmarks for the brand with world-class handling, more precise steering control and enhanced ride comfort.
The highly anticipated, all-new Ford Mustang rolls off the line today at Flat Rock Assembly Plant, marking production of the sixth-generation pony car. For the first time in its 50-year history, Mustang will be available globally to customers in more than 120 countries around the world.

With Mustang, it’s all in the ride
When life throws drivers a curve, the all-new Mustang sets new handling benchmarks for the brand, delivering world-class dynamics and ride quality.
Mustang features all-new front and rear suspension systems. At the front, a new perimeter subframe helps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing a better foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering and ride.
At the rear is an all-new integral-link independent suspension. Geometry, springs, dampers and bushings are all specially tuned for this high-performance application. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling.

An enhanced experience, but still a true Mustang
The way Mustang looks, drives and sounds is key to the visceral experience that makes drivers want to get in and hit the open road. The clean-sheet design of both Mustang fastback and convertible evokes the essential character of the brand, retaining key design elements – including the long sculpted hood and short rear deck – in a contemporary execution.
With more options to choose from, there is a Mustang to fit any lifestyle. The upgraded V8 is joined by a 3.7-liter V6 and an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine that brings state-of-the-art technology to Mustang.
Mustang GT continues with the latest edition of the throaty 5.0-liter V8 – now featuring upgraded valvetrain, new intake manifold and improved cylinder heads – that yields 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Mustang 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine uses direct injection, variable cam timing and a twin-scroll turbocharger to deliver the performance Mustang drivers expect with an output of 310 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Tale Of The Tape

Tape roll’s role in 2015 Ford Mustang design

There’s nothing quite like that brand new roll of adhesive tape, straight from the cellophane wrapping, is there? That sweet, tangy aroma of the glue; the squeaky-clean backing…it all comes together, and suddenly, the world is your oyster, ready to be adhered together. You know what we’re talking about…
And when it comes to design concepts in the automobile world, coming up with sleek lines and edgy touches to any given car concept, guess what is commonly used in providing a base for the keystone of design?  You got it–TAPE!
“Great design is about proportions,” explains Kemal Curic, Ford exterior design manager. “From the beginning, we need to focus on creating the right structural lines – the skeleton of the car. Then our job is to tailor the vehicle body to enhance the figure. This is a process of editing every single line to find the perfect balance of concave and convex angles. We achieve this on the clay model, and tape is what we use to decide which lines to move.”
So, with all the high-tech design capacity today’s technological world offers, Ford Mustang designers still relied upon a faithful stand-by to get the job done. Simply. Awesome.
“Tape gives us a defined line that is like a carpenter laying a level line on a building,” said Larry Pelowski, Ford master modeler, exterior design. “So when the designers put tape on the model, there is no question what their intent is.”
Just how important was tape to the design of the new 2015 Mustang? So significant such that the design team consumed enough bonding strips of magical adherence, it would result in a span of 155 miles if placed in linear fashion. Too cool!

2014 Chicago Auto Show - in the Books!

The Anderson Sales Team had the pleasure of attending the 2014 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place this past Sunday. We loaded up one of our 15 passenger vans(Thank you Mr. Anderson) and headed north at around 6:30 in the morning. The show started at 10 am and we wanted to beat the crowds.
We had invited a few of our customers to go with us as they have never attended the show before.
With everyone aboard, we had a total of 12 people.
There were two main vehicles the sales team wanted to see at the show.
1) the All New 2015 Ford Mustang! There is a lot of hype about this new mustang and all the sales team had to see was a few pictures on the internet and a few Ford publications.
I, for one, was not disappointed with what I saw. Ford was able to keep the Mustang DNA along with designing the car for the European market. Kudos to Ford. I like it a lot!

The second vehicle we wanted to get our eyes on was the 2015 Ford F-150!
This newly designed, all-aluminum bodied truck is surely gaining a lot of attention in the press.

Overall it was a great day to visit Chi-town. We had good weather and a good time was had by all!
We ended the our car show adventure with a stop at the local Portillo's Restaurant.
What a great choice that was. I can't wait to go back!
