ROUSH ACTIVE EXHAUST
The ROUSH Active Exhaust was designed and manufactured in-house at ROUSH
Performance. ROUSH engineers have full access to our very own high-tech
manufacturing and testing facilities, including a state-of-the-art
semi-anechoic NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) lab. The ROUSH
Active Exhaust gives drivers the ability to “tune” their exhaust note
using an iOS application and vehicle parameters for virtually infinite
sound possibilities. The system utilizes digitally controlled actuators
that can be mapped through an OBD2-based Wi-Fi interface to adjust the
exhaust flow. Engineer your own sound with the ROUSH Active Exhaust.
ROUSH Active Exhaust - Touring Mode
TOURING mode can be selected to route all exhaust gasses through the mufflers keeping
output decibels at their absolute minimum – especially useful when you want to fly under the
radar or appease the anti-noise neighbors.

ROUSH Active Exhaust - Sport Mode
SPORT mode provides a
free-flowing exhaust at idle and quiet operation during non-aggressive
driving. The system opens up again when you step into the throttle or
drive at high speeds. This pre-loaded mode is more aggressive (louder)
than stock, but are still legal for street operation
ROUSH Active Exhaust - Track Mode
TRACK mode mode is the loudest of the modes.
This mode keeps the exhaust bypass fully open at all times when the engine is running and is typically used only on the track, as it is not legal for street operation.

ROUSH Active Exhaust - Custom mode
CUSTOM mode allows the
operator to use our mobile app to interface with the Wi-Fi module and

All-New 2015 Ford Mustang Begins Production at Flat Rock Assembly Plant; Marks Global Availability of Iconic Pony Car
Aug 28, 2014 | Flat Rock, Mich.
- 2015 Mustang starts production at Ford’s Flat Rock Assembly Plant; car to be exported globally for the first time in its 50-year history.
- New Mustang goes on sale this fall in the United States, and in more than 120 countries next year.
- Mustang sets new performance and dynamics benchmarks for the brand with world-class handling, more precise steering control and enhanced ride comfort.
With Mustang, it’s all in the ride
When life throws drivers a curve, the all-new Mustang sets new handling benchmarks for the brand, delivering world-class dynamics and ride quality.
Mustang features all-new front and rear suspension systems. At the front, a new perimeter subframe helps to stiffen the structure while reducing mass, providing a better foundation for more predictable wheel control that benefits handling, steering and ride.
At the rear is an all-new integral-link independent suspension. Geometry, springs, dampers and bushings are all specially tuned for this high-performance application. New aluminum rear knuckles help reduce unsprung mass for improved ride and handling.
The way Mustang looks, drives and sounds is key to the visceral experience that makes drivers want to get in and hit the open road. The clean-sheet design of both Mustang fastback and convertible evokes the essential character of the brand, retaining key design elements – including the long sculpted hood and short rear deck – in a contemporary execution.
With more options to choose from, there is a Mustang to fit any lifestyle. The upgraded V8 is joined by a 3.7-liter V6 and an all-new 2.3-liter EcoBoost® engine that brings state-of-the-art technology to Mustang.
Mustang GT continues with the latest edition of the throaty 5.0-liter V8 – now featuring upgraded valvetrain, new intake manifold and improved cylinder heads – that yields 435 horsepower and 400 lb.-ft. of torque.
The Mustang 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine uses direct injection, variable cam timing and a twin-scroll turbocharger to deliver the performance Mustang drivers expect with an output of 310 horsepower and 320 lb.-ft. of torque.

The Tale Of The Tape

Tape roll’s role in 2015 Ford Mustang design
There’s nothing quite like that brand new roll of adhesive tape, straight from the cellophane wrapping, is there? That sweet, tangy aroma of the glue; the squeaky-clean backing…it all comes together, and suddenly, the world is your oyster, ready to be adhered together. You know what we’re talking about…
And when it comes to design concepts in the automobile world, coming up with sleek lines and edgy touches to any given car concept, guess what is commonly used in providing a base for the keystone of design? You got it–TAPE!
“Great design is about proportions,” explains Kemal Curic, Ford exterior design manager. “From the beginning, we need to focus on creating the right structural lines – the skeleton of the car. Then our job is to tailor the vehicle body to enhance the figure. This is a process of editing every single line to find the perfect balance of concave and convex angles. We achieve this on the clay model, and tape is what we use to decide which lines to move.”
So, with all the high-tech design capacity today’s technological world offers, Ford Mustang designers still relied upon a faithful stand-by to get the job done. Simply. Awesome.
“Tape gives us a defined line that is like a carpenter laying a level line on a building,” said Larry Pelowski, Ford master modeler, exterior design. “So when the designers put tape on the model, there is no question what their intent is.”
Just how important was tape to the design of the new 2015 Mustang? So significant such that the design team consumed enough bonding strips of magical adherence, it would result in a span of 155 miles if placed in linear fashion. Too cool!

2014 Chicago Auto Show - in the Books!
The Anderson Sales Team had the pleasure of attending the 2014 Chicago Auto Show at McCormick Place this past Sunday. We loaded up one of our 15 passenger vans(Thank you Mr. Anderson) and headed north at around 6:30 in the morning. The show started at 10 am and we wanted to beat the crowds.
We had invited a few of our customers to go with us as they have never attended the show before.
With everyone aboard, we had a total of 12 people.
There were two main vehicles the sales team wanted to see at the show.
1) the All New 2015 Ford Mustang! There is a lot of hype about this new mustang and all the sales team had to see was a few pictures on the internet and a few Ford publications.
I, for one, was not disappointed with what I saw. Ford was able to keep the Mustang DNA along with designing the car for the European market. Kudos to Ford. I like it a lot!
The second vehicle we wanted to get our eyes on was the 2015 Ford F-150!
This newly designed, all-aluminum bodied truck is surely gaining a lot of attention in the press.
Overall it was a great day to visit Chi-town. We had good weather and a good time was had by all!
We ended the our car show adventure with a stop at the local Portillo's Restaurant.
What a great choice that was. I can't wait to go back!

2015 Ford Mustang prototype spotted on the street
From our friends at Autoblog.com...
By Zach Bowman
Our trusty spy photographers have snapped the first photos of the 2015 Ford Mustang prototype out on public streets. With nearly every square inch of the machine covered in heavy camouflage, it's difficult to discern details, but we can see smallish horizontal headlamps at work in the coupe's nose. Ford has made it clear that modern lighting technology will allow the company to get away from large, expensive headlamp arrays in the near future, and the 2015 Mustang may very well be the first of the automaker's products to bow with the new tech. The philosophy was first displayed on the very attractive Evos Concept.
The extensive cladding doesn't extend all the way to the prototype's rockers in the instance, giving us a look at the heavily-sculpted sills. Overall, this test car looks considerably smaller than the current generation Mustang, and elements like a short front overhang and beefy dual-piston calipers give us plenty of hope for the future model. Of course, reports that the 2015 Mustang will bow with an independent rear suspension and EcoBoost power certainly don't hurt our feelings, either.
